DIRECTIONS

 

From Braunton take the Ilfracombe road, through Knowle and at the first set of cross roads  (Heddons Mill) take a right signposted Halsinger. At the next crossroads turn left (this is an unmarked lane which eventually comes into West Down by the primary school) . This is a narrow lane which takes you over a small bridge and then climbs continuously for about 1 mile. Passing a private track on your left (Stocklands Hill) you will soon find a footpath sign on a triangular patch of grass on your left. This path/track takes you to the site. Grid Ref: 509 409.
